The 2026 Honda Prelude may not be quite what you think it is at first glance. The 2026 Honda Prelude is available in two versions called Hybrid and Hybrid Two-Tone. Both trims share the same sculpted coupe body, short overhangs, and wide stance, which give the car a stunning look on the road or when standing still. Both models have standard 19-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels wrapped in 235/40R19 all-season tires. LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and LED taillights come standard across the range, along with heated power side mirrors and an acoustic laminated windshield. The Hybrid Two-Tone trim features a black roof and black mirror covers, creating a more dramatic contrast against the body color and sharpening the car’s visual identity.
Every 2026 Honda Prelude features a two-motor hybrid system that combines a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine with an electric drive unit. The gasoline engine produces 141 horsepower and 134 lb.-ft. of torque, while the electric motor delivers 181 horsepower and 232 lb.-ft. of torque from zero rpm. Together, they produce a total system output of 200 horsepower, providing the coupe with strong low-speed response and smooth acceleration. Power flows to the front wheels through a direct drive unit with Honda S+ Shift and steering-wheel-mounted alloy paddle shifters. Drivers can choose between Comfort, GT, Sport, and Individual modes to adjust throttle, steering, and hybrid response. Fuel economy is rated at 46 mpg in the city, 41 mpg on the highway, and 44 mpg combined. A multi-link rear suspension, adaptive dampers, and Brembo four-piston front brake calipers support confident handling and controlled stopping power.
The Honda Prelude cabin combines sporty design with modern digital interfaces, making it a superb car for daily driving. A 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster sits behind the flat-bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel, while a 9-inch colour touchscreen handles infotainment and vehicle settings. Google built-in provides navigation, in-vehicle apps, and voice control, and the system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone use. A Bose premium audio system, featuring eight speakers and a subwoofer, delivers clear sound throughout the cabin.
